Ligue 2: Nancy sold to a group of Chinese-American investors

After several months of negotiations, it is therefore on the last day of the year that the sale of AS Nancy Lorraine, currently 17th in Ligue 2, will be formalized. This Thursday, the president of the Lorraine club, Jacques Rousselot, is expected to announce, at a press conference, that the ASNL has been sold to a group of Chinese and American investors, some of which belong to the New City Capital group. The same who had piloted, without much success, the OGC Nice for three years, before reselling it in the summer of 2019 to Ineos for around 100 M €.

According to Eastern Republican, the new strong man of the club would be the thirty-something Gauthier Ganaye, passed by RC Lens before leaving for Nice then Ostend. This sale is an important page that has been turned for Jacques Rousselot, 71, who arrived at the head of the club in 1994 after having been its main sponsor from 1987.
