Korean badminton women’s doubles secured a gold medal against the king of kings. Lee So-hee-Shin Seung-chan and Kim So-young (Isang Incheon International Airport)-Gong Hee-yong (Jeonbuk Bank) meet again in the final.

Lee So-hee-Shin Seung-chan, Kim So-young-Gong Hee-yong won side by side in the women’s doubles semi-finals of the’HSBC World Badminton Federation (BWF) World Tour Final 2020′ held in Bangkok, Thailand on the 30th. In the final on the 31st, they clash over the championship cup.

Only the top 8 players (teams) in the men’s and women’s, doubles and mixed doubles will participate in the World Tour Finals. It has the personality of a king of kings who put together a season.

It is a competition in which the top two (teams) of each group are divided into two groups, each of which is divided into two groups, and then the top two (teams) of each group go to the quarterfinals and decide to win the tournament. Lee So-hee-Shin Seung-chan and Kim So-young-Gong Hee-yong advanced to the semifinals by taking first place in Group A and B in the women’s doubles group stage.

These are the two teams that meet in the final for two weeks in a row. In the finals of the Toyota Thailand Open last week, Kim So-young and Kong Hee-yong beat Lee So-hee and Shin Seung-chan to win the championship. Kim-Gong-jo will challenge the summit for two weeks in a row, and Lee-Shin-Jo is aiming for a gold medal over the silver medal in the 2018 World Tour Finals and the bronze medal in 2019.

Mixed doubles Seo Seung-jae (Samsung Life Insurance) and Chae Yoo-jeong (Incheon International Airport) also advanced to the finals. The sixth place in the world defeated Kohu Sun-Wat-Rai Sebon Jemi (Malaysia) 2-0 (21-19 21-8) in the semi-finals.

This is the first world tour final. Seung-jae Seo and Yoo-jung Chae face off against Dechapol Puabaranurkh-Sapsiri Taeratanachai (Thailand) again, who suffered defeat in the Toyota Thailand Open final last week.

Women’s singles Ahn Se-young (Samsung Life) and men’s doubles Choi Sol-gyu (Yonex)-Seo Seung-jae finished the tournament with bronze medals unfortunately. All of them finished first in each group and finished in the semifinals, but the finals were lost.

Ahn Se-young, the ninth place in the world, had to be satisfied with winning the bronze medal in his first World Tour Finals, losing 0 to 2 (18-21 12-21) in the semi-finals with World No. 1 Tai Zing (Taiwan). Sol-gyu Choi and Seung-jae Seo, 8th in the world, finished with bronze medals, losing 0-2 (21-23 13-21) to Muhamat Asan-Hendra Setiawan (Indonesia), 2nd in the world in the semi-finals.
