EHC Red Bull Munich lost an offensive spectacle against ERC Ingolstadt 4-6 on Friday evening. “We weren’t safe enough at the back,” said EHC striker Justin Schütz after the second defeat in a row in the German Ice Hockey League. Munich’s offensive strength was represented by defender Zach Redmond, who first put the 1-0 on to Mark Voakes (3rd) and then pulled it off in such a way that Chris Bourque was able to deflect 2-2 (17th). Defensively, the EHC allowed a lot. Philip Gogulla said after the two goals conceded by Mirko Höfflin (8th) and Wayne Simpson (10th): “We are a little too open at the back for my taste.” The people of Munich stayed that way. Frederik Storm (25th) and Brandon Defazio (26th) shot the guests to a 4-2 lead, which the Munich team equalized in just 49 seconds: Trevor Parkes scored with a well-placed kick, Yasin Ehliz with a direct tap (both 37.). Justin Feser (57th) and again Simpson (60th) made the guest win perfect.
