Zamora, born in the province of Granma, in the south of the island of Cuba, holds a degree in physical culture and sports with a specialization in softball and baseball from the Higher Institute of Physical Culture. For some years he has lived in Maracaibo, in Venezuela, where he taught in various sports academies as well as coaching in the Liga Professional de Softball of Venezuela.
