Fleurance. The Judo-Club is committed to the association “Colosse aux pieds d’Argile”

The French Federation of Judo, Ju-jitsu, Kendo and Associated Disciplines (FFJDA) signed a partnership agreement with the association “Colosse aux pieds d’Argile” last Wednesday. Since 2013, the latter has been involved in preventing and raising awareness of violence in sport and supporting victims of various forms of violence, even sexual.

“Determined to fight against all forms of violence within the framework of the practice of judo and associated disciplines, the FFJDA joins the association to ensure better care for victims. From reporting to psychological support, it organizes also sensitization to sexual violence with the various actors for the identification of victims and the first care. Awareness actions are set up within leagues and committees thanks to the intervention of this association “Colosse aux pieds d” ‘clay”.

As part of this partnership, Pascal Roustit, departmental president of judo and member of the executive committee of the Fleurance office (black belt, 3rd dan, practicing this sport for 60 years), is satisfied with this decision. He explains: “Colossus with feet of clay” is an association which fights against violence against children. I am satisfied that the municipality of Fleurance (the mayor and his municipal council) and in particular Aimée Pararols, deputy mayor in charge of sports and president of the Fleurance judo club, intervenes in this movement for the protection of children but also of educators. This association makes it possible to bring elements and help to report this kind of act. It’s a great step forward and I’m sure this movement will grow. The Fleurantin Judo-Club echoes this “.

The Fleurantin Judo-Club is …

A club which has 80 licensees and a group which has a good youth section. It is chaired by Aimée Pararols, treasurer, Joëlle Prudhomme and secretary, Jean-Lionel Caillau. Hervé Lamoulie provides supervision, he is assisted by Clément Delpech and Emmanuel Apatachia. For the moment and given the health situation, training and competitions are suspended.
