Domantas Sabonis and the Pacers too complete for the Cavaliers

Beaten in Boston in a back-to-back that showed the entire league that Indiana will always be a serious itch this season, Victor Oladipo’s teammates have the opportunity to end the year with a beautiful victory. Motivated, the Pacers players start very well. Sabonis and Myles Turner assume their roles inside but they find the answer opposite, with Cedi Osman and Dante Exum, performing at 3-points (21-18).

But it takes more to make the Indianapolis players doubt. As always, Domantas Sabonis shows all his offensive panoply back to the circle or to 3-pointers.

He can count on Justin Holiday and Doug McDermott to send missiles from afar. Cleveland suffers in the face of the collective correctness of its opponents. A complicated end of the quarter for the Cavs (32-21).

Indiana unrolls

In the hard, the Cavaliers rely on Collin Sexton and Andre Drummond to try to get back inside. Found under the circle, the pivot brings down faults and puts his team back on the right path. Darius Garland and Sexton take matters into their own hands and help the Cavs pick up the score.

Indiana is attacked but Victor Oladipo takes his responsibilities. Ball in hand, he offers everything it takes to help Indiana take back control. Drive to score with the fault, a two-player game with Sabonis who scores very easily… Victor Oladipo manages the creation and his team finishes the first 24 minutes (57-51).

The return of the locker room is complicated for the Cavs. More aggressive defensively, Indiana can play on transition. The Cavs suffer and the Pacers worn by Aaron Holiday take off. Sexton and Garland continue to shine in one-on-one but collectively the Cavs are failing. Cedi Osman gets annoyed and collects a technical fault but that does not help his team. Indiana took the opportunity to end the quarter with a good lead. Sabonis as always under the circle, Doug McDermott halfway … Indiana has the game in hand (84-64).

Domantas Sabonis en patron

Garland at 3 points and Larry Lance Jr scored at 3 points and tried to put the Pacers in doubt. The game gets more physical, but Indiana is keeping things in hand. Searched for in every action, Domantas Sabonis, like a franchise player, shines at the right time. Imperial on the throwing line, the Lithuanian also scores when the Cavs’ defense does not have time to fault him. Indiana is just too strong for the Cavs tonight (109-92).

There is no more suspense in this game. Indiana controlled this meeting and the Cavs unfortunately could not fight. A victory that allows the Pacers to end the year with a smile (119-99).
