Carlos Páez contributed 10 points in Austin Peay’s victory over Tennessee State (+ Video)

Venezuelan point guard Carlos Páez scored 10 points and distributed four assists, in 33 minutes of action, to deliver a valuable contribution in the victory of his university, Austin Peay, over Tennessee St., 71-56, during one of the games staged in Saturday’s day, corresponding to the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) of the NCCA D1.

Páez, who was part of the starting quintet, hit a pair of triples in four attempts and hit a double-penetration basket, in addition to hitting the two shots he threw from the personal line, thus signing his seventh double-digit presentation in scoring, after 17 challenges.

In addition, the Creole delivered four passes that ended in a basket, took four rebounds, all on the defensive side, and lost the same number of balls, without forgetting that he had a recovery.

A very productive week for Carlos Páez

In this way, “El Chino” closed a very productive week. On Thursday, against Belmont, he achieved his highest point record in a game, scoring 20 points and hitting six ‘bombs’ from long distance.

In that presentation he ended up suffering from cramps in one of his legs, but he recovered quickly and in the Saturday session he played what has been his fifth most minutes, when he faces his second year of action in university basketball in the United States.

The ‘Governors’ of Páez will return to the field this Monday to face the first of eleven challenges they are scheduled to play in February.
