Aaron Wan-Bissaka revealed Bruno Fernandes gave him advice to be better in helping the attack. It is now slow not just a champion in defense.
Wan-Bissaka has been almost irreplaceable on the right side of Manchester United’s defense since signing from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2019. The 23-year-old’s defensive ability is beyond doubt.
According to Premier League data, Wan-Bissaka is the defender with the most tackles in the 2019/2020 season with 129 tackles. His aggressiveness in blocking opposing players has been maintained until this season.
The tackle king defender label is still carried by Wan-Bissaka with him making 44 tackles in 16 matches in the 2020/2021 Premier League. Despite appearing well in defense, Wan-Bissaka is often criticized for having minimal contribution in attacking.
Wan-Bissaka has just packed one goal and six assists while defending the Red Devils. He just contributed a goal for MU when he faced Newcastle United in Week 5 of the Premier League this season.
This is clearly a weakness for Wan-Bissaka, because in the era of modern football, wing-backs are guided not only to be good defensively but also to have a hand if needed in attacking.
