Xavier Mercier (31) turned out to be one of the most striking players in the Jupiler Pro League before the turn of the year. Mercier is the big man at OH Leuven, but they don’t seem to be able to enjoy their turntable for much longer at Den Dreef.

The French TopMercato reports that a Belgian top club will strike in January and will take Mercie away from OH Leuven. The medium does not add to which club it is exactly. Although it goes without saying that just about every club in the Jupiler Pro League can use this Mercier.

Furthermore, some teams from the Middle East would also hunt Mercier. At the age of 31, the Frenchman seems to be taking a big hit – sportingly and / or financially. Mercier already scored five goals and eleven assists this season.

Het Franse TopMercato meldt dat een Belgische topclub in januari gaat toeslaan en Mercie gaat weghalen bij OH Leuven. Om welke club het precies gaat, voegt het medium er niet aan toe. Al spreekt het voor zich dat zowat iedere club in de Jupiler Pro League deze Mercier wel kan gebruiken.

Verder zouden ook enkele ploegen uit het Midden-Oosten jacht maken op Mercier. Op zijn 31ste lijkt de Fransman dan ook nog een grote slag – sportief en/of financieel – te gaan slaan. Mercier was dit seizoen al goed voor vijf goals en elf assists.
