The French Basketball Federation is pushing back the resumption of the amateur championships. While the championships were to resume on February 13, amateur basketball players will still have to wait until an undetermined date.
“During the first meeting of the new FFBB steering committee which was held this weekend in Paris, he has decided not to resume the amateur championships for the moment, indicates the FFBB in a press release on Tuesday. Following the announcements of Prime Minister Jean Castex on January 7, the FFBB decided to postpone the resumption of the amateur championships. Only minors are allowed to practice without any contact ”. For the latter, the recovery took place on December 15.
Regarding a hypothetical recovery for adults, “the federation consults, this beginning of the week, its regional leagues, departmental and territorial committees, in order to take stock of the overall competition. It will make a precise communication on the outcome of the season as soon as it has more details from the government on the situation of sport in France ”.
