The 18 girls that coach Gregorio Martínez kept, among which is the talented aurinegra base, will return to train in double shift (morning and afternoon) for 20 more days, until the 30th. On January 31, the delegation made up of 12 players and 8 professionals that make up the technical staff, will travel to Colombia.

Women’s basketball, with all its protagonists, continues to work and strive to be lucky, as its National Director, Karina Rodríguez, likes to say. The U18 preselection, after 72 days of training in Buenos Aires during the final months of 2020, will return to sports activity next Monday.

A preparation that will complete the 92 days, not counting the virtual trainings that began in August due to the pandemic. Before that final date, the coaching staff will define the 12 chosen to play the World Cup in Colombia, which will give two tickets to the U18 World Cup in Hungary. General hisopados will be on January 23 and 30.

On the 31st, with the results of the tests, they will travel to Cali, via Panama, with a delegation of 20 people. They will, in addition to the 12 players, the coach and two assistants, a physical trainer, a kinesiologist, a doctor, a prop and the team manager.

For now, it is only known that the National Team will play five games and that the rivals in the tournament will be the local, Brazil, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Mexico – it depends on the FIBA ​​decision – or Panama. The United States and Canada do not dispute it. The Premundial will begin on February 3 and will run until 7.
