New Orleans faced Miami in their first game this preseason, Zion obviously started to play 33 minutes in which he had 26 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists.He also went 10 of 11 from the free throw line. The combination with Brandon Ingram was perfect as he finished with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists.
The Pelicans beat the Heat 114-92, but the most important thing for the team now led by Stan Van Gundy, is to have Zion in full physical shape and that is why it is important to take advantage of these preseason games, as New Orleans will only have a couple of meetings at this stage, the next will be Thursday when they host the Milwaukee Bucks.
