the victim’s testimony complicated the former basketball teacher

They hugged tight they clung to each other and cried disconsolately. This is how the three young women ended yesterday -today of legal age- who in 2015 shared the Deportivo Roca basketball team under the direction of Guido Gadañoto, who now faces charges of aggravated sexual abuse.

The process had started minutes after 9, and one of the first to testify was the victim who told the judges the details of the bond he had with the renowned athlete who, like his lawyer Juan Luis Vincenty, followed the hearing via zoom.

It should be remembered that due to the type of crime, the public is not allowed but also the sources consulted by this newspaper revealed that hethe young man remained in his sayings and gave a firm account on how the events unfolded in 2015.

The victim, who is currently 18 years old, also revealed to the court what he had to live after the abuse that he suffered five years ago.

Both the mother and a sister (who also had Gadañoto as a teacher) were part of the payroll offered by the defense in charge of the prosecutor Vanesa Cascallares and the complaint that was represented by lawyers Oscar Pineda and Pablo Iribarren (via zoom).

During the first hearing they also offered their testimony of two young people who were teammates and confirmed the sayings of the victim in court.

At the end of the hearing the three young women crossed in the hall and hugged for several minutes.

It should be remembered that Gadañoto faces charges for “sexual abuse for taking advantage of sexual inexperience of the victim, aggravated by having been committed for being in charge of education and for resulting in serious damage to the mental health of the victim ”.

On the balance of the first day, Attorney Pineda said that the testimonies left no room for doubt on the methodology that Gadañoto used to capture his victims, although he avoided providing further details.

For today it is expected that more relatives of the victim will pass in front of the court made up of judges Gastón Martín, Alejandro Pellizzon and Daniel Tobares.
