For us in the editorial team of BN, Christmas had arrived a month early but, for many others, this coincides with December 22nd, the starting date of the new NBA season. What better time, then, to publish ours Super Mock Draft NBA? In this first edition for 2020-21 there is Cade Cunningham to greet everyone from the top of his position at the top.
Freshmen – If there was room for experienced players in the last Draft, this could be dominated by one-and-dones. The first sophomore, James Bouknight, is here at number 16. Before him, only freshmen plus two g-leaguers high profile (Jalen Green and Jonathan Kuminga) and a young man international (Usman Garuba).
Jalen Suggs – The Gonzaga phenomenon, reduce da a performance monster against Iowa, has moved up several positions in the mocks and will presumably continue to rise in the coming weeks. The podium is there waiting for him. If last year we saw a duel for the first overall pick, this class can present at least four players to compete for it.
Cade Cunningham – Oklahoma State PG holds onto position # 1 in most mocks, strong of an incredibly complete repertoire on a technical and physical level. He came out defeated (in the result) by the recent duel with a growing Greg Brownbut the way he raised his head in the second half of the second half showed his qualities as a leader and a forward.
Evan Mobley – The fact that he is the only Top 10 center and that he travels between the first and second position, can give you the idea of how special he is. In his first matches he showed off his entire repertoire between blocks, plays in post, jumpers and rebounds. It will be difficult to undermine him from the very first choices.
B.J. Boston – Arrived with Top 3 grades, the Kentucky freshman is disappointing along with the whole team and has even taken a groomed by Calipari. He sent good signals in the first half with North Carolina, but this is precisely the maximum offered so far. If he doesn’t improve his performance, there are many players ready to steal his place in the Top 5 (the aforementioned Kuminga, Ziaire Williams e Scottie Barnes are the three that appear more “launched” at the moment).
PLEASE NOTE – To compose our Super Mock Draft NBA, we take into account the rankings published by over twenty specialized sites, doing a weighted average of the positions occupied which also takes into account the various degrees of reliability and competence of the aforementioned sites.
