The New York Giants reported Thursday that their offensive coordinator Jason Garrett tested positive for COVID-19.

He will therefore be absent for his family’s game on Sunday night, against the Cleveland Browns. His replacement will be tight end coach Freddie Kitchens, former Browns head coach.

In the meantime, Garrett can virtually offer his recommendations to members of the attack.

Before joining the Giants (5-8) during the off-season, Kitchens was sacked by the Cleveland team after a 6-10 season in 2019.
