NBA, Chicago Bulls: uncertain return for Thaddeus Young

After skipping the preseason, Thaddeus Young may not be present even for the start of the 2020/2021 season. The NBA championship will officially reopen on Tuesday night, but the Chicago Bulls winger still has no dates for the return. To reiterate this was the new coach Billy Donovan.

Absence that will weigh on the Illinois franchise especially from the experiential point. In fact, the player should not start this year, but he will be the perfect exit from the bench to guarantee high-level minutes. Young, 32, joined the Bulls last season and guaranteed a contribution of over 10 points and 5 rebounds per game.

This year, however, the competition will be fiercer in the Ali commercial. Not just the return of Otto Porter, who seems to have got rid of the long injury, but also the new choice number 4 in the Draft 2020 Patrick Williams. The 19-year-old, 203 cm wing for over 100 kilos, could have an important minute already this year.

It is therefore likely that Young’s role is more of a wild card due to his ability to cover both the big and small forward positions. Regardless, the importance of the former Sixers player within the Bulls locker room is paramount. In fact, the franchise includes only two players over 30: Garrett Temple and, in fact, Thaddeus Young. With only the latter, however, in possession of a decennial experience at high levels able to support the youngest in the team even in the most complicated moments.

Per Young there are still two-year contract ahead, for a total salary of over $ 18 million.
