Nice no longer wins without Dante
The observation is clear: since Dante’s injury against Angers (3-0), the OGCN has not won a single match (7 losses and 1 draw in all competitions). Recruited 8 M € last summer and not very convincing since his arrival, Robson Bambu is lost without his Brazilian compatriot. Young Flavius Daniliuc, Andy Pelmard and Stanley N’Soki do not do much better and do not yet have the shoulders to establish themselves as bosses behind.
In Nice, the leaders understood well that it was necessary to react this winter to revive a team 12th of Ligue 1, eight points of the Top 5. A position which does not correspond to the objectives of Gym version Ineos, wishing to settle in the top of the standings to compete in the European Cup each season. The recruitment of a central defender will therefore be the priority of the next winter transfer window.
A loan from Tomori in January?
According to information from the Sun, the Azur club want to get the loan from Chelsea player Fikayo Tomori (22). Last summer, another French club, Rennes, encountered the refusal of the Blues in this case. The Breton team had wanted to take advantage of the negotiations in the context of the transfer of Edouard Mendy to try to get loaned to the young hope of the London team, without success. The game could be different for Nice as Tomori has played very little this season. The Calgary native has only three appearances (224 minutes) and is not always in Frank Lampard’s squad. The latter could therefore agree to see him leave on loan to allow him to save minutes in order to continue his progress. The opportunity exists for Nice.
