James Harden is investigated by the NBA and could miss the Rockets debut

The soap opera around James Harden and the Houston Rockets is worthy of a soap opera. Not even the best screenwriters could think of what is happening to one of the most recognizable faces in the League. After the project was blown up and key players left, the coach and the general manager, among others, the escort did not want to be less and also asked to leave. The few interesting offers they have had during the off-season and the problems they had finding a way out to Westbrook have led to the guard starting the season in the Texas franchise. What has resulted in a rebellion for posterity and that leaves him in a very bad place.

The Beard he has made the situation even more tense with his eccentric decisions. In just two weeks we have seen him arrive days late for training camp, being hunted in nightclubs and private parties, speaking ill of his companions and hitting a ball rookie. But in today’s chapter, Harden has vowed to go one step further. As reported by Tim MacMahon of ESPN, the Rockets and the NBA are investigating a video leaked by social networks in which the Californian is seen in a club of striptease.

Nothing new, but the problem is more than evident. Being seen without a mask and in such an environment would have violated the protocols that the League requires to combat the coronavirus. This, among many other reprimands, would imply that Harden could not play in the Rockets debut if the images are confirmed to be recent. And everything indicates that they are. The physical condition and appearance of the player are very similar to those he has presented in his last public appearances. And to make matters worse, in the video he is talking to a friend about a Christmas present, which would bring him even closer to these dates.

Although the situation we live in is extreme and has affected us for about eleven months, the Rockets guard does not seem to have taken the necessary precautions. The NBA has presented a plan to teams and players in which it establishes that the protagonists of the League cannot visit bars, lounges, clubs, live shows, gyms and any closed establishment in which there are more than 15 people. Some recommendations that Harden has not followed, since he already missed a training to be seen at a friend’s birthday party. In this case, the penalty could be stricter and you could be penalized with matches or financially.
