Ayaka Miura, who entered the world of martial arts from judo and is now active as a mixed martial artist. In vol.1, she talked about her feelings for fans and supporters, and why she decided to participate in Pas You.

About this series

“I’m happy to hear your support” Feelings for fans and supporters

What are the fans and supporters of the fighting world?

Miura: I’m playing overseas now, so I don’t have much to do with Japanese people, but when I was fighting in Japan, I couldn’t get a ticket without supporters. Not only those who like martial arts, but also those who support me, I can’t sell tickets and goods in my name. Supporters are important and grateful.

When do you feel the presence of supporters strongly?

Miura: Even when you lose, it’s time to keep up with you.

Do you have any messages from fans and supporters that left an impression on you?

Miura: There was a period when I couldn’t play the game, but I was really grateful because some people gave me the message “I’m waiting”.

Does the existence of one core fan help?

Miura: It will be very helpful. There are many gym members.

What kind of communication do you have?

Miura: We are practicing together, and there are many older people, so there are many people who support us while being defeated.

Can you hear the support during the match?

Miura: Even overseas, I heard a voice saying “Ayaka-chan” and it became “that”. They were acquaintances who came to see the game. A high school student from my alma mater has even come to Manila.

Do you get any special feelings when you hear that voice?

Miura: I’m happy. You can hear the second voice most during the match.

About the message that can be conveyed one-on-one, “I am involved in each person’s importance and do something that has never happened before”

You mentioned that you are starting to use the video message service this time. What did you find appealing about it?

Miura: On YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, you can distribute match information to an unspecified number of people.

On the other hand, if it is a video message, I can send a core message to each person, and I thought that if I wanted such a message, I could send it with all my heart.

Did you want to communicate closely with a fan?

Miura: I want to take it. I think those who say “I want a video message” really like me. With this kind of service, I’m grateful that I can understand what kind of people the fans haven’t been able to grasp until now, and I can know if there are such people.

What kind of message do you want to send to what kind of person?

Miura: For example, people who are very clumsy and are not good at standing in front of people, or people who are suffering from illness. I also have an invisible Meniere’s disease. I would like to send a message if anyone is suffering from such things.

What kind of message do you want to deliver to your fans and supporters?

Miura: I want to say “Thank you always”.

How would you like to use the one-to-one environment?

Miura: I think we can be polite to each and every one of us, so I think we can be involved in each and every one of them and do things that we have never seen before.

Significance of what athletes can say and feel because they are active now

Have you ever been interested in sending out?

Miura: I thought I had to send it out. I think it’s important to do that while I’m still active. When I was wondering what else I could do other than the SNS I’m doing now, I heard this story. I wanted to work on it because it was a big deal.

Is there any reason why you think it is important to make a call while you are still active?

Miura: It’s a very important time now, and I think there are things I can say and feel because I’m still active. It’s hard and tough now, and there is a part that I’m telling myself as a message about how to overcome it. When I was a dream teacher, I talked about setting goals, but he said, “The teacher is talking here, but the teacher hasn’t achieved his dream either.” I thought it was important to send out.

I think you may be complaining to the athlete who is making a call. What are your thoughts on that?

Miura: I think it’s a waste. Sometimes people tell me not to do SNS itself, but I wonder if that person really supports me.

This time, the serialization project will start, but is there anything you would like to convey in the serialization project?

Miura: I want you to know me. I think that many athletes have been athletes since they were little, but I wasn’t so, and I got a job and became an athlete with a feeling of reversion, so even me who is mediocre has this kind of thing. I want to tell you that I don’t know what life is like. I also have the feeling that I should not give up because I can recover even if I get sick. I have fulfilled my dream of being a teacher at Sekkotsuin, and I have new goals, so I would like to convey that it is important to have many goals.
