Good resolutions made in NBA

As a truly unprecedented year of 2020 ends and one could very easily qualify as shitty, now is the time to discuss the good resolutions of each franchise for the year 2021. Let’s hope that this is simply better than the previous one to begin with, and to end 2020 on a good note and prepare for 2021 in the best way, we have concocted a recap of the main challenges to come, franchise by franchise. Let’s start with the Eastern Conference.

But also: the resolutions devoted to the Western Conference

Atlanta Hawks : find a nanny ready to babysit all the fiery toddlers on the team, including the most restless, Trae Young. Vince Carter gone, there are no more old wise men in the locker room, Lloyd Pierce remaining a somewhat young and inexperienced coach (44 years old). Unlike Danilo Gallinari, Rajon Rondo (34) can for example always be this old pervert very useful to reach the top of the basket.

Boston Celtics : let us enjoy the GOAT Tacko Fall. We know that Brad Stevens is preserving the NBA for the moment from the intergalactic crack that is the pivot measuring 2m26, but enough is enough. Now is the time to give the people what they want: to see Fall have fun on the floors and break our baskets.

Brooklyn Nets : let Kyrie Irving praise all the halls of the NBA like he did for the TD Garden. Health too, it could also be nice, because the team has already lost Spencer Dinwiddie and wants to take full advantage of Kevin Durant’s talent after his year off.

Charlotte Hornets : trying to teach Michael Jordan what it is to run an NBA franchise well, because it remains difficult to understand certain choices on the side of the Hornets. LaMelo Ball, recently drafted in third place, is currently lined up off the bench behind the Rozier-Graham duo and has the means to reverse the trend, but the signing of Gordon Hayward for four years and $ 120 million stings for its part where you all think.

Chicago Bulls : buy a defense because at the start of the season, it’s still open. With 123.5 points conceded on average in the first four games, Billy Donovan’s Bulls have still not reassured, and it is time to turn a corner to hope to approach the Playoffs this year. Spolier: nobody believes it.

Cleveland Cavaliers : succeed in getting rid of Kevin Love. In a very young workforce on the whole, the good Kevin plays a bit the role of the rather heavy uncle letting himself go during family meals, and succeeding in trading him for a cool package would be a nice Christmas present in delay.

Detroit Pistons : forget as quickly as possible a rotten year 2020 with a front office on the street. Markieff Morris and Reggie Jackson’s free starts for LA and trading Andre Drummond for a Twix hurt, now you have to look ahead with the youngsters and trust GM Troy Weaver to do the job.

Indiana Pacers : give the keys to the tractor to Domantas Sabonis. The boss in Indianapolis in recent months is him, and not Victor Oladipo. With the full-back still in doubt about his future, 2021 will be the perfect time for the Lithuanian to assume his role as team boss.

Miami Heat : prepare the ground for a big arrival during the Free Agency 2021. The targets are multiple, the financial capacities limited, but knowing the great Pat Riley, it is impossible not to see the Heat being one of the major players of an upcoming offseason very eventful in the NBA.

Milwaukee Bucks : that Giannis Antetokounmpo finally decides to become himself again. Stuck in his usual game and having a tendency to want to overplay instead of making it simple, the Greek is in the hard. It’s up to him to find the magic potion to try and match the record of… his brother Kostas.

New York Knicks : keep it in camera at Madison Square Garden regardless of the scenario over the next few months. RJ Barrett seems to be arguing for the idea, as he recently found it easier for the team to take it home without an audience. Was the solution so simple from the start?

Orlando Magic : have a better season than Miami’s hated neighbor. The Heat, beaten in the derby at the opening of the year 20-21 (107 to 113) being a little hard in recent days, the Magic must fly and show that the good stories are not only present within from the amusement park.

Philadelphia Sixers: put pressure on Joel Embiid so that he finally performs in the long term as he can do at the start of the 2020-21 season. The pivot to move his big ass to show that he can be dominant with consistency and can lead this team in important moments.

Toronto Raptors : acclimatize as quickly as possible to Tampa at the risk of living a very long season. For now, Fred VanVleet looks more like Drake than himself and Pascal Siakam would miss a caribou in a hallway.

Washington Wizards : no longer re-signing a single contract of the type initialed by Davis Bertans during the last offseason. His extension for five years and 80 million will rot the finances of a team already lost in recent months, as the huge contract of Russell Westbrook (132 million until 2023). Force you fans of the capital team, the hangover is likely to last.

So let’s try to forget 2020 and hope 2021 is the year of the rebound. Celebrate while respecting the sanitary measures, take care of yourself and see you… in a year, for new adventures.
