A chance to get a spot in the practice squad of an NFL team. This is what the 11 international players chosen for the 2021 edition of the NFL International Pathway Program will fight for.
And in the list announced this Wednesday by the league, there is a French. His name is Yoann Miangue and he plays on the defensive line of Flash de la Courneuve.
Along with players from eight other countries, he will soon start training in the United States with hopes of being part of the final selection. One of the eight NFL divisions will be chosen at random to receive the selected players. Each franchise in the division will be entitled to one more place in its practice squad, especially for a player from the international program.
Yoann Miangue has had an interesting career. Because at 22, he has a past as a high level taekwendoist. He was Olympic Youth Champion in 2014 and French Champion in 2017.
