Derrick Henry’s MVP chances suddenly improve

USA TODAY Sports

Immediately after Week 14, the Titans running back on Derrick Henry’s chances of winning the league’s MVP award remained at +10000. They have improved a lot now.

Presumably because of the stakes of those who consider Henry to be very valuable at +10000, Henry’s chances are now +6600.

Chief quarterback Patrick Mahomes also saw his number move from -285 to -225. Packer’s quarterback Aaron Rodgers also adjusted his odds of winning from +185 to +170.

Elsewhere on the list, Bill’s quarterback Josh Allen fell from +1600 to +2000, and Seahawk’s quarterback Russell Wilson suffered a free fall from +1800 to +5500.

All of these changes were made again without the aforementioned candidates playing other games.

Henry’s candidacy grows stronger as he builds huge yards against the Lions on Sunday and the Packers the following Sunday night. If he can pick up 368 points in the next two games, he’ll be 1,900 in the regular season finale against the Texans – which is 200 yards away from Henry’s record for the single season.
