Dallas Mavericks part ways with the last master player

The Dallas Mavericks have split up with JJ Barea, the last player in the squad to win the championship in the professional basketball league NBA in 2011 alongside Dirk Nowitzki.

“I had a great time in Dallas,” said Puerto Rican Barea, “but it’s a tough day.” The 36-year-old played for the Mavericks from 2006 to 2011, after winning the title, the point guard moved to the Minnesota Timberwolves and returned to Dallas in 2014. “I only have fond memories,” said the 1.78-meter-tall Barea looking back.

The Mavs had extended the contract with the veteran in the previous month to 2021, he wants to continue his career in the NBA. Only four professionals have played more games than Barea (637) for Dallas, number one on this list is Nowitzki (1522).
