The Las Vegas Raiders and head coach Jon Gruden received monetary penalties in addition to being stripped of a draft pick for repeatedly violating NFL COVID-19 protocols on Thursday.

According to ESPN, the Nevada squad will be forced to pay $ 500,000 and Gruden will have to leave $ 150,000 on the table. Additionally, the Raiders will lose a sixth-round draft in the 2021 draft.

The NFL began an investigation in Las Vegas at the end of October to shed light on the actions of offensive tackle Trent Brown, who tested positive for COVID-19. The player would indeed have been seen several times without a mask and without his tracking device.

Five additional athletes were subsequently placed in quarantine. Brown had been hospitalized after complications from an intravenous injection.

On October 25, the Tennessee Titans were also sentenced by the NFL, fined $ 350,000 for ignoring certain protocols.
