PARIS – A surprising decision was taken by the management of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). This afternoon, PSG management decided to fire Thomas Tuchel, the coach who has served at the Stade Parc des Princes since the summer of 2018.
In terms of achievement, Thomas Tuchel gave pretty good results for Les Parisiens – the nickname PSG. Only 2.5 years in charge of PSG, Thomas Tuchel has given six trophies to the club that is proud of the French City.

True, Thomas Tuchel failed to give PSG the Champions League trophy in the first two seasons of coaching. However, the German coach got PSG on the right track. Evidently, last season Neymar Jr and his friends qualified for the final, even though they finally lost 0-1 to Bayern Munich.
This season Thomas Tuchel also brought Kylian Mbappe and colleagues to appear brilliantly in the Champions League. Les Parisiens qualified for the last 16 of the 2020-2021 Champions League with the status of winning Group H, ahead of established clubs such as RB Leipzig, Manchester United and Istanbul Basaksehir.
So, what caused Thomas Tuchel to be fired by PSG? According to the Mirror report, Thomas Tuchel was fired for his controversial answer a few days ago during an interview with the media from his country, Germany.
In the interview, the journalist translated Thomas Tuchel as feeling more like a sports politician or Minister of Sports than a coach. This is because the pressure that PSG put on Thomas Tuchel is enormous.
It is suspected that Thomas Tuchel’s statement offended PSG. For this reason, PSG’s management knocked the hammer of dismissal for the former Borussia Dortmund tactician.
