ATP – WTA> Halep: “Tennis is a sport where a single point can change the mood of any player”

The mind is one of the most important and interesting aspects of tennis. It largely conditions a player’s performance. It is all the more important that tennis is a sport in which the player is left alone for a few hours on the court. Simona Halep opened up in a recent documentary about state of mind during a game. Very interesting…

“We tennis players have struggled a lot of times. We have a lot of thoughts throughout a game, because a lot of things happen in such a short time that it is difficult to analyze them afterwards. You can get mad for one bad game and then be calm the next because now things are working out. Tennis is a sport where just one point can change the mood of any player. We must always be focused. There is a very fine line between the positive and the negative. When you step into a dynamic that is not so good, you are lost. I have had games where I have faced not only my rival, but also myself. I had to fight against myself, my own moods, my mental state and most of the time, against my emotions ”, admitted the Romanian player.
