But tonight, Lennon believes the battle begins here because if he feels he doesn’t have to impress Dermot Desmond or Peter Lawwell, then hundreds of thousands of Celtic followers are going to see something.
Never before has a dead gum in the Europa League been so important. There is no indication that the Celtic hierarchy will exterminate Lennon if another defeat occurs. At least not yet. But for its long-term opportunities, there must certainly be an improvement.
