After a few difficult years after injuries, Derrick Rose revived with the Wolves, then with the Pistons today. It is not that of 2011, but it has gained in maturity, in intelligence on the floor. It is very different, but not necessarily less strong. Obviously, this is the case when he is not bothered by the physical glitches.
Even though there has been nothing serious to report the past few seasons, D-Rose still has to deal with injuries, mostly minor. The medical staff of the Pistons is therefore warned: we must spare the veteran, and not just a little. Fortunately for Detroit, the next generation is here with Killian Hayes.
And we must believe that the French leader will have to prepare as much as possible, because nobody knows if Rose will stay with the Pistons for a long time. Last year, he found himself in trade rumors, especially among the Lakers. While in his final year of contract, the former Bulls must prepare for a possible trade. I think the Pistons will try to move Derrick Rose and get a trump card against him.
Knowing that he will be free to leave in 2021, logic actually wants the Pistons to take action, especially given the interest generated by Rose in the market. We also know that respect is present between the two parties, and that the leader has a role of mentor to play with Hayes, as it was seen in the last training:
