Ricky Yacobi died on Saturday (11/21/2020) morning WIB. He was lying on ABC Field, Senayan, Central Jakarta, while playing in the Trofeo Medan Selection gathering.
The death of this 57-year-old man is a sorrow for the Indonesian football world. Ricky Yacobi is an idol for footballers who started their careers in the 1990s.
According to the former Indonesian National Team striker, Bambang Pamungkas. Ricky Yacobi is an inspiration to strikers, including Kurniawan Dwi Yulianto.

“One of the duties of a footballer is to continue what the previous generations have done, and to inspire the next generation. Ricky Yakobi, who was nicknamed Paul Brietner Indonesia, was my inspiration as a footballer,” he continued.
“If there isn’t a reliable spearhead named Ricky Yakobi (maybe) there won’t be a fierce striker named Kurniawan Dwi Julianto, and if there isn’t Kurniawan (maybe) there won’t be a national footballer named Bambang Pamungkas.”
“Goodbye, Om Ricky Yakobi. Best wishes to the deceased and the family left behind. Hopefully Husnul khotimah. Aamiin,” Bepe ended.
The condolences were also conveyed by PSSI through its official website. According to the Chairman of PSSI, Mochamad Iriawan, Indonesia lost its best son.

Hopefully the deeds of the deceased during life are accepted and get the best place in the sight of Allah SWT. And the families who are left behind are always given patience and sincerity. Amen , “said Mochamad Iriawan.
“PSSI and Indonesia feel that they are missing one of the best sons our nation has ever had in terms of football,” the man who is familiarly called Iwan Bule added.
