Bola.net – Barcelona presidential candidate, Victor Font, said he was willing to recruit Sergio Ramos if economically possible. However, he certainly will not prioritize the Real Madrid captain.
Ramos is a central figure in Real Madrid’s defense. He has strengthened the club in the Spanish capital since 2005.
However, Ramos will become a free agent at the end of the season. The Spanish defender’s contract at the Santiago Bernabeu will expire on June 30, 2021.
Various clubs began to be rumored to be ready to accommodate Ramos. Because, the 34-year-old player is still very capable at the back.

Ramos to Barcelona
Font itself does not rule out Barcelona could bring Ramos. However, he is only willing to bring in Ramos if the coach he wants, Xavi Hernandez, expects the defender to come.
“If Xavi asks me to sign Sergio Ramos and it is economically feasible, I will sign him,” Font told The Great Match of COPE.

Barca Need Talented Young Players
Even so, Font won’t fully prioritize Ramos’s arrival. According to him, Barcelona currently really needs talented young players who can become the backbone of the club in the future.
“However, I personally believe that in that position there are other players, like Eric Garcia who I know want to come like everyone else,” he added.
“We let (Matthijs) de Ligt through, who is a very good center-back with a bright future.
“What needs to be done is to have young talent to have good years in the future.”
