Portland Trail Blazers are likely to bring Enes Kanter back in a 3-team trade

The Portland Trail Blazers have enlisted the services of Center Enes Kanter of the Boston Celtics. Mario Hezonja and rookie Desmond Bane are switching to the Memphis Grizzlies.

Enes Kanter is back with the Blazers. In a three-team trade, Portland is bringing the Boston Celtics center back to Oregon, according to media reports. Boston also gave the 30th pick with Desmond Bane in this year’s draft to Memphis, who also received winger Mario Hezonja from the Blazers.

What Boston will get in return has not yet been determined. Adrian Wojnarowski from ESPN reports on future draft considerations.

Kanter reached the Western Conference Finals with the Trail Blazers in 2019, but the center played a subordinate role at the Celtics. He is entering his final year of contract and will be a free agent after the coming season. The Blazers use their existing $ 7 million trade exception for the commitment.
