The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York Giants will meet at MetLife Stadium on Monday night to wrap up week eight NFL action.

Tampa Bay is doing well 5-2 this season overall. The Buccaneers have both won their last two games, 38-10 against the Packers and 45-20 against the Raiders. The Giants are only 1-6 a year. New York won against Washington a few weeks ago, but lost their last game 22-21 against the Eagles. Check out NFL tips for free all season on Sports Chat Place.

The Buccaneers were a trendy NFC pick this year, and it’s easy to see why. Tampa Bay has scored 23 or more points in six out of seven games this year, and has scored 83 points in the last two games. The last Bucs win came between 45 and 20 last weekend against Las Vegas.

In defeating the Raiders, Tampa Bay quarterback Tom Brady put up 369 yards with four touchdowns and Leonard Fournette led the rush with 50 yards for 11 runs. Front runner at the reception was Scott Miller with six catches for 109 yards and one score.

On the Giants side, things couldn’t get much worse this year. New York opened with five straight losses but was competitive most of the time, with three of those losses coming by a point or less. The Giants scored a 20:19 win over Washington but failed to get past the Eagles last Thursday.

In the tough 22:21 loss to Philly, Giants quarterback Daniel Jones managed 187 yards, two touchdowns and an interception while leading the rush to 92 yards from four carry. Sterling Shepard was New York’s top recipient of that one with 59 yards and a six-move TD.

The Buccaneers are favorites 5-1 ATS in their last six street games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven street games. Tampa Bay has ATS 2-5 for the last seven games in Week 8 and ATS 2-6-1 for the last nine games in November.

Meanwhile, the Giants have 4-1 ATS in their last five games as underdogs and 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games in Week 8. New York has 2-6 ATS against a team with a winning record and 6-20-1 ATS in their last 27 home games.

PICK: I will be staying at Tampa Bay. The line in this game started rising rapidly after it was released, and it will likely be ticking even more this week. The Bucs are rightly strong favorites, but the Giants still have enough talent on the team to keep the deficit reasonable here. If the line gets a lot thicker in this matchup I’ll probably watch this one again, but right now I like the Buccaneers on something under two touchdowns or something.
