L. Nations

Final Four, promotions, relegations … Here is the summary to know everything about the classification of the teams in the League of Nations at the end of this 6th and last day.

Group A

Everything remained to be done in this group where three teams (Italy, the Netherlands and Poland) could still hope to finish in the lead before the last day. Mistress of her destiny, Italy has not trembled. His success in Bosnia (2-0) allows him to qualify for the Final Four. La Nazionale is ahead of the Netherlands by a tiny point. Winners in Poland in the very last minutes (2-1), the finalists of the first edition stop there. If for a moment they could hope to qualify at the finish, Poland finally finished third with a poor record of seven points in six days. The level was too high for Bosnia which is logically relegated to League B with only two points on the clock.

Qualified for the Final Four: Italy.
Relegated to League B: Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Group B

Victorious of Denmark (4-2) in the “final” of this group, Belgium won its ticket for the Final Four scheduled for October 2021. With 15 points out of 18 possible and 16 goals scored (best attack in the group stage ), Lukaku’s teammates continue to impress. The Danes therefore fail in second place, tied on points with England. Opposed to Iceland for a last game without a stake, the semi-finalists of the last edition ended the year well with great success (4-0). With six defeats in as many matches, the Icelanders, already deprived of Euro, descend to League B.

Qualified for the Final Four: Belgium.
Relegated to League B: Iceland.

Group C

After its success against Portugal on Saturday (1-0), the France team was the first nation to qualify for the Final Four. The Blues are ahead of the title holders, winners in Croatia (3-2) for their last meeting of this second edition. At the back of the group, the victory of the Blues on Tuesday at the Stade de France (4-2) for the last day condemns Sweden. Tied on points with Croatia, the Swedes are relegated to League B because of an unfavorable goal difference (-8 against -7).

Qualified for the Final Four: France.
Relegated to League B: Sweden.

Group D

By crushing Germany 6-0 on Tuesday, Spain offered themselves a place in the first Final Four in their history. Undefeated so far, the Mannschaft finally fell to second place in this group. Behind, the situation is more complicated after the cancellation of the meeting scheduled for Tuesday between Switzerland and Ukraine due to several cases of coronavirus on the Ukrainian side. If the meeting were not to be played, the Ukrainians, in particular the winners of Spain last October (1-0), would retain their place in League A. Switzerland, semi-finalist of the previous edition, would be she relegated to League B with three small points and no victory.
