Nick Kyrgios, current number 45 in the world, has assured in Sydney’s Sunday Telegraph that when he played tournaments regularly he suffered not meeting people’s expectations.
The Australian, who has not played since the Acapulco tournament in February, did not enjoy tennis because he felt it disappointed people.
“I felt that no one wanted me as a person, they just wanted to use me as a tennis player. A lot of people put pressure on me and I put a lot of pressure on myself too. I lost the joy of playing and it got out of hand,” said the man from Canberra.

“I was depressed by the things I thought it had to be. I was scared to go out there and talk to people because I thought I would disappoint them by not winning games,” he added.
Kyrgios, who became known at Wimbledon 2014 when he beat Rafael Nadal, has achieved six titles in his sports career, becoming number 13 in the ranking in 2016.
But nevertheless, their performance on the slopes has been obscured by their altercationsboth inside and outside of them.
