The latest example: the basketball hoop from his childhood home will be auctioned off next February.

It was sad news that had the world in turmoil. On January 26, 2020, famous basketball player Kobe Bryant tragically disappeared in a helicopter crash, alongside his daughter Gianna and four other people. He left behind a wife, Vanessa Laine, and three daughters: Natalia, Bianka and Capri. After a most trying mourning, his widow had decided in particular to block the fans of the champion on social networks, as it was so difficult for him to face the many photographs and testimonies featuring her husband and daughter: ” It was really hard to log in and constantly see pictures of our beloved Gigi and Kobe […] We all love you but please understand we had to do this for our own healing and not because we don’t like you. His childhood home sold without the basketball hoop

The website TMZ sport tells us today that the childhood home of the star, located in Pennsylvania, was sold for $ 810,000 this month ! But that’s not all. The buyer has in fact refused to pay a supplement to keep the basketball hoop on which the young Kobe practiced his first dunks and other three-pointers. Result: the seller therefore purely and simply decided to dismantle said basket to offer it up for auction ! Sales manager John Romani of Sales by Helen also said he gladly expected a six-figure amount for the collector’s item. TMZ Sport also recalls that an element of the floor of the Staples Center on which Kobe Bryant had played his last game, and autographed by the star in person, was recently auctioned for $ 600,000 !
