The Ak Bars club of the Continental Hockey League (KHL) has signed a three-way agreement with 17-year-old Artūrs Zaripovs, who is the son of KHL legend Danis Zaripovs.

Last season, the striker played in the Eastern Ontario Hockey League, featuring hockey players under the age of 18. In 42 games he will have 23 goals and 16 assists.

A three-way contract with the Kazan Club means that a hockey player can play not only in the KHL, but also in the Youth Hockey League (MHL) and the Supreme Hockey League (VHL).

“Ak Bars” is also represented by Zaripov’s father Daniss, who is the team captain. He has eight (3 + 5) points in nine matches this season. Zaripov, 39, is the only hockey player in KHL history to have won the Gagarin Cup five times – three times with Ak Bars and two more with Magnitogorsk Metallurg.

Zaripov is the third most productive hockey player in the history of KHL main tournaments – 528 points in 598 matches, as well as the third best goal scorer – 227, and the fourth best player – 301.

It should be noted that this season, the son of another KHL legend, Sergei Mozykin, in the “Metallurg” youth team “Stalniye Lisy”, the player was attacked by his son Andrei Mozykin, who has scored four (1 + 3) performance points in 14 matches.
