France-Finland: the Blues very diminished, Pogba and Giroud holders?

The France team trained one last time before the match against Finland, this Wednesday at the Stade de France (9:10 pm on M 6) without six of the 26 Blues. Corentin Tolisso, Benjamin Pavard, Lucas Hernandez and Adrien Rabiot worked indoors while Kylian Mbappé (thigh) and Presnel Kimpembe (foot) performed a session in the field but outside the group and accompanied by physiotherapists. These six players will not be available for this friendly match three days before a decisive trip to Lisbon in the League of Nations to face Portugal. A shock in anticipation of which Didier Deschamps should preserve some of his executives.

The manager has confirmed that Steve Mandanda will keep the goal. Kurt Zouma and Clément Lenglet could be associated for the second time in central defense while Léo Dubois and the last called Ruben Aguilar are in contention to occupy the right lane. Coman and Sissoko should animate the sides. Paul Pogba, on the bench this weekend with Manchester United against Everton (3-1), should start just like Olivier Giroud, in dire need of playing time with Chelsea.

On Wednesday morning, the French delegation, all of which Covid tests were negative for, will head to Enghien-les-Bains for lunch. The Blues will stay there after the match against Finland and then on their return from Portugal to prepare for the second official match of the rally, next Tuesday against Sweden at the Stade de France.

The probable composition of the France team

Mandanda (cap.) – Dubois or Aguilar, Zouma, Lenglet, Digne – Coman, Nzonzi, Pogba, Sissoko – Martial or Ben Yedder, Giroud.
