Boxing Fabio Wardley knockout against Richard Lartey Video, News, Reaction

Up-and-coming heavyweight star Fabio Wardley poleaxed his youngest victim Richard Lartey and left the Ghanaian heavyweight oxygen in the ring on Sunday morning.

The monster, managed by Dillian Whyte, found itself in a major catch-up battle but less than two rounds to destroy its opponent with a walk-off knockout in one blow, reports The Sun.

In the opening session, Lartey marched forward with a high guard and even cut off the Ipswich man with a left hook.

But in the second round, Lartey switched off and the former clerk Wardley discharged a two-shot combination.

Lartey collapsed immediately and was tallied before the paramedics were called in to help him.

Lartey was stuck on the floor for a few minutes before he could be carefully lifted to a stool, where he rested for a few more minutes.

Concerned Wardley remained rooted in a neutral corner, and when Lartey was helped out of the ring, the Briton ran to him to hug and comfort him.

Dangerous Wardley is now 10-0 with nine wins in the distance and proudly has the English title around his waist.

Wardley said, “I’m happy with the goal. It answered a few questions about my clout.

“I can hang out with the big boys. I just proved I can get you out if I sit on my loft.

“I’m moving at a good pace. Decent opposition. Lartey was a good challenge that I passed without any problems.

“I still have to build and learn. I didn’t go into the second half of a fight or get into a war. “

His performance impressed the boxing world.

The great boxer Tony Bellew wrote on Twitter: “This is a statement from Wardley !! Nobody made Lartey like that … Suppose Wardley wasn’t happy having to wait! Roll on the floor and laugh well Fabio Wardley ”.

The top-class combat maker Eddie Hearn also described the performance as a “big statement”.
