Bianca Andreescu’s return will be in Australia

Canadian tennis player Bianca Andreescu is confident that she will be “100%” for the Australian Open next January.

This is what the 20-year-old athlete said when asked the question during an interview with the tennismajor.com website.

“Yes, 100%,” she replied.

The representative of the maple leaf has not played a game since October 2019, she who suffered a knee injury. The pandemic and a foot injury also prevented her from returning to the game in 2020.

“I wouldn’t say I would be ready to play a game tomorrow morning, because I’m going one step at a time. Maybe in a few weeks I’ll be ready. I feel good, but I wait until 2021, ”said Andreescu to describe his current state of health.

The 2019 United States Open and Rogers Cup champion officially threw the towel on her campaign before Roland Garros last September.

“As difficult as it was to make this decision, I have so much to hope for in 2021, including the Olympics. I want to use this time to focus on my game, so that I can come back stronger and better than ever, ”she said at the time.
