Berrettini debuts, Schwartzman glances sideways thinking of London

Matteo Berrettini debuts this Tuesday at the Masters 1000 in Paris against the American Giron. The Italian, who has not had a great 2020, is the main threat of Diego Schwartzman to reach the ATP Finals.

In the last turn of the central court (not before 4:00 p.m.), Berrettini will play for the second round of the last Masters 1000 of the year against Giron, who has just beaten Albert Ramos. The Italian is 410 points behind Schwartzman en route to London and needs to reach at least the semi-finals to continue with a chance of qualifying for the ATP Finals.

Schwartzman’s debut will be on Wednesday, before Gasquet or Fritz. The Argentine and the Italian come from the same side of the table and there could be a cross in the semifinals.
