Barely arrived at OKC, Danny Green transferred again, Horford moves too!

Barely arrived in Oklahoma City in the trade of Dennis Schröder, Danny Green is already sent to the other side of the country! In exchange, it is in particular Al Horford who leaves the Sixers. The full point.

Danny Green didn’t even have time to pack his bags in Oklahoma. Transferred to the Thunder a few days ago to bring Dennis Schröder to Los Angeles, the 3-and-D full-back will obviously not have played a single game for OKC – as was expected.

His new destination? The East Coast and the Philadelphia team, as announced this Wednesday evening by Adrian Wojnarowski in one of his Woj Bombs of which he has the secret:

The Sixers send Al Horford, a first round and a second draft round to the Thunder in exchange for Danny Green (and Terrance Ferguson, as detailed in the following tweet from Woj, note).

Picks, more picks, always picks, this is the motto of a Thunder undergoing reconstruction. Note that one of them is the 34th choice for the Evening Draft, while the other is for the 2025 vintage.

GM Sam Presti has a series of masterclasses, and there are now no less than 20 picks (!) That OKC has available for years to come. Enough to see the future coming very calmly, and why not build a contender by the end of the decade. Especially since Al Horford, it is certain, should not stay very long in Oklahoma… to collect still more picks?

Green will bring his shoot and defense to Philly, in a profile somewhat similar to what Robert Covington was doing. His experience of great moments will also undoubtedly be an asset for the Sixers.

The night is already lively, and everyone is a winner in this trade: The Sixers get rid of Al Horford’s poison contract and pick up an ideal player for their system, while the Thunder stack the picks. Win-win!
