Kervignac Tournament

245 players participated on Saturday and Sunday in the tournament entitled “Kervignac Back to school open” which marked the resumption of badminton in the great west. This first tournament, for more than five months, was scheduled since December. It was canceled in June, then finally maintained in July. “This is our first edition. We were in the dark until June. Then at the end of July, the federation again authorized the competitions, with a protocol that we follow to the letter, ”explains Vincent Le Roux, organizer of the event. The players had to wear a mask before and after their match and no longer had boxes at their disposal for their equipment. Each player (or pair, in the case of doubles) served with their own shuttlecocks and a direction of circulation was imposed in the room.

Double for Eulalie Serre

On the sporting side, the young Marius Reboul-L’Alexandre won among the men by dominating in the final his partner from the Briochin club Louka Le Coq. Among the women, the minimal of only 13 years old Eulalie Serre achieved the double. Considered the best Frenchwoman of her generation, the Vendée won in singles on Saturday, then in doubles on Sunday with Adèle Fillonneau (Bouguenais).
