a dream evening last February and voila (and long live France)

Remember, we are on February 6, 2020, or rather the night of 6 to 7, well in short we understood each other. The Bulls take the mash against the Pelicans, and in garbage time an unknown soldier in the Bulls Fan Battalion makes his debut for Chicago. This soldier is Adam Mokoka, and he will then write the first (very beautiful) pages of the book of his life as an NBA player.

The match will not be more balanced but the United Center then saw a delirium that it had never… never experienced, rather not bad for a room which nevertheless saw others. The results of Adam’s evening? 15 points at 6/6 shooting including 3/3 from the Gravelines car park and a cervical break on Jahlil Okafor, all in… five minutes. Huh? Yes. It is quite simply the biggest score reached in five minutes… in all the history of the NBA, at least since the introduction of the clock of 24 seconds. Excuse eh. MVP MVP even descend from the stands, we swim in full delirium and, icing on the cake, father Adam does this to us in front of his mother’s eyes, present at the venue for the occasion. Too much. Choupi. In the end, Adam will accumulate eleven small games for his first NBA season, a little more with the G League franchise affiliated with the Windy City Bulls, but this biblical perf of Adam (…) as well as his serious work throughout the season So resulted in some pretty good news last night:

Cock-a-doodle Doo ! So we leave for a ride, said qualifying offer proposed by the Illinois franchise thus allowing the French rear to pass a restricted free agent, then to be guaranteed a year of contract with his franchise before becoming an unrestricted free agent the following summer. So we leave for a ride, in Chicago or elsewhere, for a man who may be offered a few minutes this season to relay Zach LaVine or another.

It is therefore official, Adam Mokoka validates his presence in the Great League and signs here his first “real” NBA contract after living a year with the uncertainty of a two-way contract. Congratulations, and see you soon… for other fabulous records?
