The Golden State Warriors have left their legendary compound, the Oracle Arena. One of the hottest rooms in the league. The sensitive neighborhoods of Oakland abandoned for the more chic side of San Francisco. A move that follows the change in the franchise’s standing, crowned three times between 2015 and 2020. But the players and staff have certainly not forgotten “Oaktown” and its atmosphere.
It is with a new jersey, the “City” edition, which the Dubs paid tribute to the city they just left last season.

Oakland is and will always be a part of our team’s identity.
“Oakland Forever,” presented by @Rakuten, is a nod to the We Believe era and its turning point in Oakland’s basketball history.

The jersey, one of the prettiest of those unveiled recently, is titled “Oakland Forever.” »He really has style, the colors are beautiful and Stephen Curry wears it very well. We can see a reference to the “We Believe” team who heroically left the Dallas Mavericks, seeded in the West, during the 2007 playoffs.
Honor the Town roots.

On the other hand, it’s ironic to pay such a tribute when we know that the franchise is suing the city of Oakland and demanding payment of $ 40,000 for the renovations carried out within an Oracle Arena that they have abandoned.
