They will promote tennis in Aguascalientes

Tennis is one of the most practiced sports in Aguascalientes, although the possibilities of being part of this discipline are very few, since it can only be done in schools or clubs, unlike other sports such as soccer or basketball that only need of a public space to be able to play it.
However, both the state and municipal governments have worked in recent years to promote this sport in all local youth, and thus highlight more tennis players who have had little opportunity to grow or dedicate themselves to this discipline in a professional way.
That is why the Aguascalientes City Council has decided to start promoting the constant practice of this sport, starting with the creation of spaces to be able to practice it in public places in the city, and then detect talents that can grow sportively in this activity.
Yesterday the second stage of tennis within the Aguascalientes Cup culminated, and at the closing ceremony was the president of the Tennis Association, Guillermo Olguín, as well as the director of the secretariat of development and sports, Luis Rodríguez, who they announced their future plans for tennis.
Luis Rodríguez informed that next week the construction of two tennis courts will begin that will be located in Canal Interceptor, this being a huge step in promoting discipline, since there are few public venues that can be used to practice this famous racket game.
Once this pair of courts has been built, new spaces will be sought to place more tennis courts, with the hope of covering various points of the city, in order to create that affection and approach to white sport.
The tennis tournaments will continue in the internal competitions of the municipality, and just as the “soccer in your neighborhood” events are held, or at the time of basketball and volleyball, the idea is also to look for the best tennis players in Aguascalientes, who for not having a place to practice, they have not been able to detect this talent in white sports.
