The president of the Argentine Basketball Confederation, Fabián Borro, met with Matías Lammens, Minister of Tourism and Sports, to advance in the negotiations regarding the realization of the bubbles in Córdoba and Carlos Paz, if the epidemiological situation and the authorizations of the national government allow it.
The head of the CABB presented the sanitary protocol drawn up by Diego Grippo – CABB and AdC Health and Sports consultant – so that Lammens can present it to the Ministry of Health today, who will decide on the start of the National League for the beginning of November and the realization of the FIBA windows between the 27th and 30th of that same month, at the same venues.
“I am grateful once again for the willingness and support of Minister Lammens so that we can continue on this path towards the return of our National League and also be able to play the matches of the Americup qualifying team. We know the difficulty of the situation and the steps that must be followed to obtain the approval of the Ministry of Health, but we trust in the protocol prepared and in the organizational capacity of the leadership to be able to demonstrate that we can make these bubbles minimizing the risks of contagion, “said Borro.
For his part, the president of the AdC, Gerardo Montenegro, expressed his satisfaction with the new progress in the management. “We continue to work together with the CABB and Minister Lammens so that our sport can return soon. Our clubs began to work with the health protocol approved by the executive branch, and we continue to give positive signals managing the return to the National League”, expressed the Santiago leader.
Now the approval of the Ministry of Health is awaited and that the health situation in the chosen venues will help to carry out what was planned.
