Recently, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Jose Mourinho were involved in a debate in the media. Ahead of the Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur duel, Solskjaer praised Mourinho.
The war of comments started after Solskjaer led United to a narrow 3-2 win over Brighton in the Premier League at the weekend. The MU manager joked by offending Mourinho, who had complained about the size of the goal at Shkendija’s headquarters before Tottenham featured in Europa League qualification.
“We have to be grateful that Jose (Mourinho) is not here to measure the bars, because maybe they are too small!” joked Solskjaer.
Mourinho could not resist retaliating, striking anyway. The Portuguese manager said the size of the goal was less important for Solskjaer, but the size of the penalty box. The comment refers to the number of penalties the Red Devils received last season (21).
