Slovenian Primoz Roglic first leader of the Tour of Spain

Slovenian Primoz Roglic (30), winner of the Tour of Spain 2019, won for the first stage of the Vuelta 2020 between Irun and Arrate on Tuesday, October 20 thanks to an attack placed in the last kilometer. The Slovenian rider of the Jumbo-Visma team, stripped of the yellow jersey the day before the arrival in Paris in the Tour de France, beat Richard Carapaz and Dan Martin in the Basque Country. Frenchman Thibaut Pinot (Groupama-FDJ) lost nearly ten minutes, as did the returning Chris Froome (11 minutes) for his last race with Ineos.
