Text messages sent and received by former rugby player Sam Burgess have revealed an alleged affair at the height of his professional career.
NewsCorp received WhatsApp messages between Burgess and a woman from October 2017 to May 2018 in which they flirt and meet in hotels in Melbourne.
In the leaked news, they refer to each other as “Chunky Butt”, “The Big Rig” and “Monkey”. The couple also shared photos of themselves.
In the edited version of the online exchange, Burgess wrote to the women the day before the English World Cup match against Australia in October 2017.
“I’m sorry darling, I honestly can’t do it tonight. Completely against everything I do, I set all standards and s ** t and if anyone knows or sees you come to my room the day before the biggest test match of the season, I’ll smash, ”wrote Burgess.
“It would be easier if I wasn’t an older player, but I can’t.”
The day before, Burgess had told the woman he was “half-naked” when they arranged for a meeting in Melbourne.
The woman sent a message to Burgess after limping off the field with a knee injury in the first half of England’s 18-4 defeat.
“No words will ever do justice. I really hope it’s just a breeze. I was so proud of you tonight, you killed it. Your hot cronk was epic. I know you have a lot on your mind, but sometime give me a call and talk to me. I wish I could crush you now and give you neck nests, ”she wrote.
“From tomorrow I will not contact you anymore. Shattered just for you tonight. You have some kind of curse on me. Wanna give a big hug You have that, listen to the doctor, follow your rehab to a T and you’ll be training in a couple of weeks. I’m going to stop texting you for a few weeks now because it became known that your wife is in town. A little confused with everything we’ve talked about, but least of all with your worries. Just know that I’m here and always thinking of you … thanks for the most amazing week. “
Burgess replied, “My wife went downstairs with my daughter today. I feel like an ass after we talk. I’m so sorry for getting you into all of my things. I should never have opened my mouth.
“Tomorrow I have to sort a lot with my knee too.
“Thank you for being so caring and listening.”
After almost four months of silence, Mrs Burgess wrote a message out of the blue in May 2018.
“I see things on my Insta feed and I have to say it really makes me question all that you fed me to get me clear to bed,” she wrote.
“To come to my house and all the hours we spent talking about how unhappy you were and living a separate life … why would you do this to me and not just to your wife?”
“I feel like the biggest fool. How dare you.”

Burgess married Phoebe Hooke in December 2015 and the couple welcomed their first daughter in January 2017. After giving birth to their second child in December 2018, the couple split and reconciled before separating again in October 2019.
On Thursday evening, the Australian released a bombshell report accusing Burgess of violence and substance abuse allegations.
Burgess confirmed that he has since stepped down from his role as a development coach with the Rabbitohs and from his media duties at Fox Sports.
