Perez to Williams, Russell loses his seat
One of the most notable transfers that is imminent according to several Formula 1 journalists is the switch from Sergio Perez to Williams. The Mexican has to leave Racing Point after this year, but until recently was invariably linked to a transfer to Haas. For Williams, the Mexican would be a logical move. He brings a large bag of money in the form of various Mexican sponsors.
It is remarkable that he would not end up next to George Russell, but next to Nicholas Latifi. Again a logical decision for Williams as Latifi is a payed driver is, but Russell would then be without a seat. The Briton is a Mercedes junior and one of the great talents on the grid. Should this scenario occur, Russell may therefore have to spend a year as a third driver at Mercedes.
